Shawni wanted to have a football party for Scotlyn and with Hannah's birthday being relatively close, we decided to combine the two. I thought the toppers from Camdens party were so funny...I had to do something similar for these girls. Enjoy.

Chicken Squares
Brandon lets out a large sigh when I make this for dinner...not that he doesn't like it...it's delicious and it's one of my favorites...and one of the few meals Cooper gobbles up without complaint. He sighs because I make it often...at least once a month. Hey, when your kid fights to eat anything...sometimes you have to conform a little and make what they like...right? Plus it's delish as leftovers.
3 oz cream cheese softened
3 TB butter softened
2 cups cooked chicken cubed
1/4 t salt
1/8 t pepper
2 T milk
1 T chopped onion
1 can crescent rolls
bread crumbs
Sauce:
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup milk
Blend cream cheese with butter. Then stir in all other ingredients except bread crumbs, and the crescent rolls of course. Seperate crescent rolls and form into squares. Place spoonful of mixture in the center of the square. Bring all corners of the crescent rolls together and pinch seams to seal. Place seam side down on baking sheet. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 for 25 min.

Camdens Party
I'm slightly behind in this blogging world. About a month and a half ago we had Camdens birthday party. I tried to keep it a small party since I figured this isn't a party that he would remember. What better theme than the camera itself?
I made a little banner with a picture from each month of his first year. It was fun to see how much he has changed.
The colors were blue and orange. We just had a little treat bar for the guests to enjoy.
Cupcakes, dipped oreos, white chocolate popcorn, and sugar cookies.
My favorite were definitely that cupcake toppers I made. I thought they were hilarious.
I did a simple high chair banner for the little guy. Don't worry he has since received a haircut.
I think everyone else loved the make shift photo booth that I set up downstairs. I had little props for them to choose from. Glasses, mustaches, frames, and I made little conversation bubbles with chalkboard sticky paper so everyone could write their own thoughts in. There are lots of pictures...enjoy!
I love that little boy...and so grateful for the joy he has brought our little family. Thanks everyone who came..we love you all!

Bradee's Birthday
I love parties...even more I love to help plan parties. So when Lacie asked me to help plan my niece Bradee's seventh birthday party, I was stoked. Even though I can't believe she is 7...what?! I wish the pictures would have turned out better. It looked so cute and bright up against the window..downfall..everything was back lit..so I had to close the blinds and turn on the flash for some of these. This party was a joint Overman effort and I think it turned out darling. She was getting a fish tank and fish for her birthday, so we went with an 'under the sea' theme.
Megan made these tissue paper pom-poms. They made such a dramatic effect and gave height and dimension to the look. John hung the 'fish net' from the ceiling and filled it with balloons.
Lacie made these darling fish cookies that we put into a styrofoam block wrapped in wrapping paper and ribbon.
We used the 'colorful cupcakes' recipe to make these fun cupcakes. I made the cupcake toppers...
and the labels for the treats...
and favor bags..
These cute little boxes were what the kids got to put their candy in from the pinata...
Janers made these cute mermaid skirts for all of the girls to take home. How fun right?!
I also made the birthday invitations and the birthday banner in the background. (click to enlarge) There were a few other things I wanted to make, but just ran out of time. Most importantly, Bradee loved it. All in all, I'd say the party was a splash. :-) I crack myself up.
